Houstonians are suffering from skyrocketing property taxes. Current law allows a property valuation of 10% per year. Martha Wong will cap those tax increases so families are no longer the victims of escalating property values. Her plan calls for property valuations to increase by no more than 5% every two years. That means the Harris County Appraisal District appraised tax value of your home could increase no more than 2 and 1⁄2 percent each year.

Choose Your Schools
A career educator and principal, Martha Wong will allow parents to choose public schools for their children, which will make for a stronger and a more competitive educational system.

Prevent Flooding
Martha will fight for state and federal funding to prevent future flooding disasters by improving Houston’s infrastructure and ensuring affordable flood insurance options.
